Welcome to:
Cressex Lodge 55 Cressex Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP124PG
Welcome to our Home
Our home is for children and young people aged 11 to 16. However, you can stay with us until your 18th birthday while we help you plan and move on to your next living arrangement. You’ll be sharing the house with two other young people. Everyone here has their own story and their own reasons for being in care. Some may have lived in foster homes, with adoptive families, or in residential schools. For others, this may be their first time in care.
We understand that many young people have faced difficult experiences and may need extra support. Our goal is to make your time with us as positive and enjoyable as possible—a time to relax, feel safe, enjoy your own space, and start preparing for adulthood.
We support every young person to get ready for the next stage of their journey. For some, that means returning home, rejoining a foster family, or moving on to college, university, or independent living. Whatever your goals are, we’re here to help you plan and prepare in a calm, welcoming environment where you feel supported and respected.
Our professional team is here to help you get the most out of your stay. Whether you’ve had difficulties in education or just need a fresh start, we’ll work with you to achieve your goals. We also want you to have fun and enjoy life while you’re here. There’s a woodland bike trail behind the house and an adventure park nearby where you can get active and explore.
Inside the home, we have a music room where you can be as loud and creative as you want—try out the mixing decks, sound studio, video and media equipment. If you enjoy being creative, there are loads of opportunities to express yourself.
Our staff are also trained in food hygiene and healthy meal preparation. They’ll help you learn to cook, eat well, and build a healthy lifestyle. Together, we’ll plan fun activities and create delicious meals you can be proud of.
